LEAVES - CELEBRATING IMPERFECTION
A selection of images awarded an RHS gold medal (Feb 2008).

As gardeners we often aim for perfection in our gardens. Anything that is tatty, decaying or has ‘gone over’ is pruned away. However these rejects can be far more interesting to look at, artistically speaking, than a perfect leaf or flower. This was the starting point for this group of paintings. Three of these paintings were purchased by the RHS Lindley library.
